Have you ever been in a season in your life. Were the flames of passion for Jesus Christ and the gospel have gone dim? I know for me I have been in this season before. I’ve felt like the presence of God has suddenly disappeared and trying to find joy in Him was like trying to find “a needle in a haystack”. I would read His Word but it felt like Words of life was not penetrating through my heart. Numbness, frustration, hopelessness, and sorrow was the dark cloud hanging over me yet, I refused to stay there.See,I believe all Christians go through a season like this. I believe seasons like this test your faith. The most important thing to do is to perservere. For even when we think that God has abandoned us we know that He is Always there. For God said “….For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”[Hebrews 13:5 NKJV]. Never lose hope nor give into the lies. When those lies kept creeping up I just prayed this prayer: “Jesus I ask that you give me more faith to get through even when I can’t feel your presence nor see clearly your path. For you Lord are the path and if I ever get lost by sin, distractions, or anything else besides you. That you will lead me back to your way by following you. In Jesus name Amen.” Your flame may go dim just like mines did but it doesn’t have to stay that way.Just like when a camp fire gets smaller you need more wood to let the flame grow strong again. The source of our flame(light) is God. Draw near to Him that He may reignite that light to show His glory!

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.[James 4:8 NKJV]

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”[John 8:12 NKJV]
