The Current

You ever wish that life was smooth sailing? From your family to your career and goals that you have set in place? I know I wish things were a breeze at times if not all the time. Yet every once in a while we get hit with many kinds of currents and before you know it we are at the edge of the boat ready to jump off. It can be a job loss, broken relationship, health issues, addictions, and everything else that is set to knock us down. But when they do come it presents and opportunity to look at it in two ways. With a Negative mindset or positive. We can choose to focus on how strong the wind is or we can focus on maneuvering our way through the current by trusting our Captin Jesus. Our external and internal conditions can change but Jesus remains the same. He is our Rock that we can stand on, An Anchor that we can be firm knowing that nothing can budge Him, and our Cornerstone on which we build on. He promises me that currents will come but they come to reveal and build up. To reveal what or who we truly place our hope and faith in. It also builds up our faith in Him. So instead of focusing on the problem, let us stand firm on the solution.

  • Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.[Ephesians 2:19‭-‬22 NKJV]
  • Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.[II Timothy 3:12 NKJV]
  • These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.[John 16:33 NKJV]
