You ever contemplated telling someone that you are very close with a secret or struggle you are going through??? Not because of their reaction or judgement but because of the burden that you are placing on their shoulders to carry.
This conversation between me and my coworker who I call “Brother D” had me really thinking about this truth. See the more we reveal to others that can help us through our most difficult times, the more doors open for us to receive freedom and healing. Yet the person we just shared our secret sin with now carry a part of the weight from the burden. We do this in love we accept those for where they are at and help them along the way to get where they need to be. Ultimately we can’t free them in our own power but we can lead them to Jesus Christ who carried all our sins and burdens on the cross. His sacrifice freed us. His blood washed us. He made us whole.
Those who are in Christ are no longer fighting to gain victory because we already have it. We are fighting from victory.
“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”[Romans 8:37-39 NKJV]
